About the Youth Council

 

The EMPACT one Foundation Youth Council (YC) is a group of youth members and up to two adult advisors who nationally represent and serve the youth volunteers of the EMPACT One Foundation. Drawing upon the creativity, dedication, and strength of the youth, the National Youth Council seeks to promote young volunteers as an organizational and community resource.

 

Specifically, the National Youth Council:

 

  • advocates for youth volunteer involvement at the national and community and levels
     

  • advises national and community leadership on policies, resources, and services that directly impact youth in the community
     

  • maintains EMPACTOurYouth.org
     

  • connects youth volunteers through a Facebook group and YOUTHWave an EMPACT One Foundation Youth Newsletter
     

  • writes and publishes news and stories important to youth
     

  • Plans the annual National Youth Action Month in November
     

  • raises funds to further the humanitarian mission of the EMPACT One Foundation through the annual Giving Day Campaign
     

  • recognizes outstanding youth volunteers through the Youth Spotlight program and the granting of the Lucille Ravenel Education Scholarship for the Youth.
     

  • Works with local, state, and national representatives to develop initiatives, programs, and resources for the youth.
     

  • Serves as youth advocates to promote the overall mission of the EMPACT One Foundation 
     

  • Works with local academic entities and associations to increase youth involvement at the college level
     

  • coordinates the Field Ambassador Program
     

  • and much more!

 

 

The 2021-2022 application process will open in August 2021 - November 2021
