EMPACT One Foundation Youth Council
Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders
The EMPACT One Foundation Youth Council is a leadership body composed of passionate, driven youth and young adults who are committed to service, advocacy, and impact. This council serves as the voice of youth across our programs and in the broader community, helping to shape the future of our initiatives and ensuring that young people are at the center of the solutions we provide.
Through mentorship, civic engagement, service projects, and youth-led initiatives, our Youth Council empowers members to lead with purpose, build lifelong skills, and make a real difference in their communities.
What We Do
Our Youth Council members:

Advocate for youth voices and community concerns at local and regional levels

Collaborate with city leaders, school officials, and nonprofit organizations to build a better future for youth

Develop Skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, public speaking, and event planning
-
Lead Projects such as mentoring events, service days, community forums, and school-based programs
-
Represent EMPACT One Foundation at conferences, town halls, and public events
-
Inspire Their Peers by modeling excellence, integrity, and servant leadership
Who Can Join?
Youth Council membership is open to students ages 12–21 who demonstrate:

Willingness to collaborate with diverse peers
Adult Advisors support the Youth Council by providing mentorship, guidance, and oversight while ensuring youth voices remain central to all decisions.
Signature Programs & Initiatives

DC S.M.A.R.T. Mentorship – Peer-to-peer mentorship and leadership development using our proprietary S.M.A.R.T. framework

Youth Spotlight Awards – Recognizing outstanding youth in service, academics, and leadership

Youth Action Month (November) – A full month of service projects, civic education, and community outreach
-
Community Causes – Each year, the Youth Council selects core causes to champion such as literacy, mental health, anti-bullying, and civic responsibility
Impact
In just the past year, our Youth Council members have:

Mentored over 150 youth across Cumberland County

Led community forums on mental health and school safety

Volunteered over 1,200 service hours

Raised funds for scholarships and family support services

Presented youth proposals at city council and school board meetings
